Hilltop High School Renovation
Originally built as a New Deal project in 1937, renovations were carefully planned to maintain the historical importance of the building. The unusual requirement of numerous arched window shapes presented a challenge that was masterfully met by the Aluflam custom designed and manufactured fire-rated aluminum window frames and butt-joint glazing.
Center for Care & Discovery – 7th Floor Chapel – University of Chicago Medical Center
Known as ‘the hospital for the future’, this state-of-the-art facility is one of the most advanced clinical and surgical centers in the county dedicated to specialty care. Aluflam’s customized aluminum fire-rated curtain wall system achieved the clerestory profile needed to bring the most abundant natural light into the intimate, nondenominational 600 square foot Chapel.

Towards the goal of enhancing the environment as well as the well-being of the students, this vibrant, open, and active recreational facility called for a diverse mix of fire-rated products. Aluflam’s customized fire-rated glazing systems seamlessly integrated into the building compartmentalization without compromising the integrity of the architect’s and student’s vision.
Rush University Medical Center
Leading the way for more than 170 years in developing innovative and often life-saving treatments, the Rush Hospital Tower was designed to enhance the patient experience by emphasizing comfort, safety and quality of care. Aluflam’s fire-rated aluminum doors and interior storefront glazing integrated perfectly in the overall design of Perkins + Will Architects by providing both safety and aesthetics.
